A Brief History
In the late 1980s, Jay Hopkins, EPI's founder, provided Aircrew Coordination Training to all branches of the U.S. military. In the early1990s, he trained many Corporate and Emergency Medical Services flight operations across the country.
Then in 1995, the Error Prevention Institute was created, training hospitals, fire departments, and law enforcement agencies, along with a variety of companies and government agencies. Starting in 1998, EPI began to focus primarily on corporations involved in various aspects of aerospace manufacturing, assembly, test and launch operations.
